Julie Ann Segal, president of Metropolitan Interiors, is known for her deep commitment to providing her clients with state of the art design. Always on the cutting edge, Julie Ann’s dynamic approach is to utilize all resources within her reach. Ecclectic to classic, modern to traditional… there is nothing she and her team will not do to create that “wow factor” that has exceeded her clients’ expectations for over two decades. From residential to commercial, Metropolitan Interiors creations have been showcased throughout the Twin Cities. Trustworthy and dedicated, Julie Ann values the relationships she has formed with her clients and strives to design the homes and businesses of their dreams. As a Feng Shui consultant, Julie Ann infuses the elements of this ancient art into all her design endeavors, revealing environments rich in comfort, beauty, balance and harmony.
Julie Ann is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a BFA specializing in Interior Design. She has been working as a professional designer since 1987 and started Metropolitan Interiors in 1992. In 2003 she became a certified Feng Shui Practitioner upon completion of Carole Hyder’s state-sanctioned Feng Shui Program.
Julie Ann’s work has been featured in many different articles. In September of 2006, she was featured in the business section of the Star Tribune in a piece about having moved her design studio and offices into a Victorian Home across from Loring Park. She was also recognized on the Small Business Administration’s web site as a business on the rise.
Julie Ann enjoys public speaking locally and has also been highlighted nationally. She was a speaker for Best Buy and KitchenAid in 2006 for the grand opening of their new kitchen appliance display in the Richfield store location. She also displayed her work on HGTV’s show “Room for Change”
Julie Ann currently teaches combining the art of feng shui and interior design through workshops and classes and specializes in working with individuals and businesses, designing interiors for residential homes, apartment and condo common areas and offices. Julie Ann is also the mother of four children.
