Ready for a new look in your bedroom? Remake your bed this winter to not only keep warm, but also energize your love life!
When using Feng Shui in interior design, we enhance or balance energy of a room with the Five Chinese Elements – Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood. Elements are represented in architecture and décor by their shape, color and properties.
The Fire element, for example, can be incorporated to create a feeling of more warmth, or to enhance the energy of passion for a relationship. This can be done by adding accent colors of red, pomegranate, burgundy or orange. Shapes that are angular, such as triangles, stars or sunbursts in fabrics’ design can also bring in Fire. Choosing fabrics like silk and cotton, especially organic, is also good feng shui because they’re natural, and better for your health.
One of my favorite bedding lines that we offer is Eastern Accents. They have a wide variety of luxury bedding styles:
You can choose from any of the above, and make it your own by mixing and matching styles and colors for pillows, bed skirts, duvet and comforter covers, throws, and more.
Here’s an example of the Botham style, great for this winter. It’s soft, inviting, warm, and incorporates the Fire element in a subdued way. If you wanted to add more Fire, you could change the color of the bed skirt or by add pillows with triangle motifs.
